("the Service"). By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Table of Contents
Article 1. Purpose
These Terms set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of Pi Alarm ("we", "us") and users ("Member", "you") regarding the use of the mobile application and related services.
Article 2. Definitions
- "Service" means the mobile application that monitors transactions on Pi Network blockchain wallets and delivers notifications, including all related features.
- "Member" means any individual who has agreed to these Terms and completed email verification.
- "Wallet" means a Pi Network blockchain address registered to the Service by a Member.
- "Free Plan" means the tier available without payment.
- "Paid Plan" means tiers requiring payment (Basic, Pro, etc.).
- "In-App Purchase (IAP)" means payment processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play payment systems.
Article 3. Effect and Modification of Terms
- These Terms become effective when the Member agrees to them at registration.
- We may modify these Terms when necessary. Modifications will be announced through in-app notifications or email at least 7 days before the effective date. For changes materially adverse to Members, we will provide notice at least 30 days in advance.
- If a Member does not agree to the modified Terms, they may discontinue use and delete their account. Continued use after the effective date constitutes agreement to the modified Terms.
Article 4. Account Creation
- The contract is formed when the Member agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy and completes email verification.
- We may reject or terminate registration in the following cases:
- Use of another person's name or email address
- The applicant is under 14 years of age
- Intent to use the Service for illegitimate purposes
- Previous loss of membership due to violation of these Terms
Article 5. Service Plans
| Plan | Wallet Limit | Notification Latency | Key Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | Within ~8 hours | Basic push notifications |
| Basic | 5 | Within ~10 minutes | + Telegram notifications, deposit/withdrawal filters |
| Pro | 20 | Within 30 seconds | + Multi-device support |
Notification latency reflects our polling interval policy and may vary slightly based on Pi Network blockchain responsiveness.
The Pro plan can be billed monthly or yearly; the yearly option is discounted versus monthly (equivalent to about 3 months free).
Article 6. Service Provision and Changes
- The Service is provided 24/7 in principle.
- The Service may be temporarily suspended in the following cases:
- System maintenance, repair, or replacement (with prior notice)
- Force majeure events: power outages, communication failures, natural disasters
- Pi Network blockchain failures, modifications, or termination
- Failures of underlying infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS)
- We may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service with prior notice. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
Article 7. Paid Subscriptions
- Paid plans are processed exclusively through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchases (IAP).
- Payment procedures, methods, and receipt issuance follow each store's payment system and terms.
- Plan features activate immediately upon successful payment.
- Prices shown in each store are final and may vary by region due to exchange rates, taxes, and store fees.
Article 8. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
- Paid plans renew automatically by default. The billing cycle may be monthly or yearly (Pro yearly subscription).
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- To cancel auto-renewal, manage your subscription directly in:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Pi Alarm
- Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → Pi Alarm
- Paid features remain accessible until the end of the current billing period after cancellation.
Article 9. Refunds
- Refunds for in-app purchases follow the refund policies of Apple App Store and Google Play.
- We do not process refunds directly. Refund requests must be submitted through the respective store:
- iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: Google Play Help
- Upon refund approval by the store, we immediately downgrade the Member's plan to Free.
Article 10. Downgrade Handling
- If a paid plan payment lapses or is refunded, we provide a 7-day grace period.
- If no renewal occurs within the grace period, the account is automatically downgraded to the Free plan with the following effects:
- Only one wallet remains active for notifications (the most recently used wallet is auto-selected; the Member can change it).
- Other wallets are preserved in inactive state. No data is deleted, and they are automatically restored upon resubscription.
- Paid-only options (Telegram notifications, amount filters, address filters, multi-device, etc.) are deactivated.
- Notification frequency reverts to the Free plan baseline (~8 hours).
- We notify Members of downgrade events via push notification or email.
Article 11. User Obligations
Members must not:
- Use another person's information (email, wallet address, etc.) without authorization
- Interfere with the normal operation of the Service
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to make abnormal or excessive requests
- Exploit security vulnerabilities or collect/copy/distribute information without authorization
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or public morals
If such conduct is identified, we may restrict or suspend service access and may seek damages for any harm caused.
Article 12. Service Provider Obligations
- We make reasonable efforts to provide a stable Service.
- We maintain security systems to protect Member personal information.
- We strive to restore the Service promptly in the event of failures.
Article 13. Disclaimer of Liability
- We are not liable for damages arising from the following:
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, war, communication failures)
- Notification delays, omissions, or errors caused by Pi Network blockchain failures, forks, or policy changes
- Damages caused by Member fault (incorrect wallet address registration, declined push notification permissions, etc.)
- Failures of external services (FCM, APNs, Telegram, email providers) that disrupt notification delivery
- Policy changes by external services registered by the Member (e.g., Telegram)
- Notifications provided by the Service are for reference only. We do not guarantee the accuracy or real-time nature of blockchain data. All asset-related decisions are the sole responsibility of the Member.
- Notifications are delivered within the polling interval defined by the Member's plan and are not guaranteed at any specific moment.
- The Service is not an official Pi Network product and has no direct partnership with Pi Network.
Article 14. Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In the event of a dispute between us and a Member regarding Service use, both parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith consultation.
